The Cercle National des Armées (CNA) is a social and cultural establishment. It comprises 3 hotels, 3 restaurants, 1 bar, reception lounges and the oldest arms room in Paris. The "Maison des Officiers" mainly accommodates active, retired and reserve officers, category A or equivalent civil servants from the Ministry of the Armed Forces, as well as their families and guests.
The current building, located at 8 place Saint-Augustin, was built between 1925 and 1927 on land freed up by the deconstruction of part of the Pépinière barracks. The neoclassical-inspired building was designed by Charles Henri-Camille LEMARESQUIER, chief architect of the French national palaces.
The sculpted decor features military symbols (helmets, pikes, standards, horse-drawn chariots and breastplates). Four statues crown the façade columns: a Turco, a Poilu, a Marin and a Cuirassier. To get to the Cercle National des Armées, don't hesitate to park in a Saemes car park.
