Hôteldeville

Finding a parking space near the Centre Pompidou can quickly become a headache. Strict regulations, spaces reserved for special vehicles or residents, it's not easy to find a space in the area. To make sure you don't waste any time, Saemes underground car parks offer you their best advice. By car, motorbike or bicycle, you can park just 5 minutes' walk from the Museum. And for added peace of mind, you can reserve your parking space in advance of your visit!

The Centre Pompidou: a museum and exhibitions

The Centre Pompidou, also known as Beaubourg, was inaugurated in 1977 by President Georges Pompidou, a great lover of modern art. Located in the 4th arrondissement of Paris between Les Halles and Le Marais, and easily recognisable by its architecture of coloured pipes, it welcomes a huge number of visitors every day. Visitors come here for :

  • its modern art collections
  • its temporary exhibitions
  • its library
  • its documentation and research centre
  • its cinemas
  • children's workshops
  • shows and concerts
  • its restaurant

As well as must-see works such as Marcel Duchamp's urinal fountain, Man Ray's Le Violon d'Ingres, Frida Kahlo's The Frame and Henri Matisse's Romanian Blouse, you can also admire temporary collections dedicated to renowned artists throughout the year.
Our advice? Allow several hours to discover all the collections and masterpieces. And to extend your outing, you can take a stroll in the Halles district or the Marais, just a stone's throw from the museum.

Is it possible to park nearby?

The easiest way to get as close as possible to the Centre Pompidou is to park your car or motorbike in a street close to the museum. However, the museum is located in the centre of Paris, where on-street parking spaces are extremely rare. What's more, the number of on-street parking spaces has fallen sharply in recent years. So if you're lucky and find a free space, you'll have to pay :

  • 6€ for 1 hour
  • 24 for 3 hours
  • 75 for 6 hours

Secure underground car parks are the easiest way to park as close as possible to the Centre Pompidou.
